Building capacity of the grantees of the first Regional Youth Co-operation Office’s (RYCO) Call for Proposals, “A better region starts with youth”, was the focus of a three-day training course organized in Podgorica from 7 to 11 May with the support of the OSCE Mission to Montenegro.

The training was attended by 34 RYCO grantees from civil society organizations and secondary schools in different towns of the Western Balkans and RYCO staff members.

The participants discussed intercultural learning, participatory and interactive approaches within RYCO projects. Issues related to children and youth safety and protection were also part of the debate. The training was conducted by representatives of a partner organization, the Germany-based Cross-border Factory, and RYCO staff.

The OSCE Mission to Montenegro supported this activity within the framework of a project aiming to further enhance the RYCO initiative in close partnership with the RYCO local branch.
