The OSCE Mission to Montenegro issued the following statement on the attack against a television crew from TV Vijesti on 18 November 2011:
“The OSCE Mission condemns the assault on the TV Vijesti team that occurred in Niksic during the course of their work, which was reportedly unprovoked. Such attacks on the media represent an assault on freedom of the media. The OSCE Mission further notes and commends the prompt and professional intervention of the police and the prosecutor against the three perpetrators, and the charges that have been brought.”
