The OSCE Mission to Montenegro provided 11 laptops, three projectors and one printer to the State Election Commission (SEC) to further support the operational efficiency of the institution, on 9 March 2018 in Podgorica.

The equipment will be used by the SEC staff and SEC members during their daily work and activities.

“The co-operation with and technical assistance provided by the OSCE Mission since 2016 is of great importance to the State Election Commission,” said President of the SEC Budimir Saranovic. “The Mission’s support in building the human capacity for better administered elections, the funds secured from the donors to enhance the capacities of our institution are helping to ensure a functional and efficient SEC.”

Head of OSCE Mission to Montenegro Maryse Daviet said: “The Mission to Montenegro is proud of its close work with the SEC and the results achieved so far. The Mission and our embedded experts are committed to further supporting this institution, which is key to the democratic process.”

SEC Secretary Veljo Cadjenovic commended the Mission for its support: “We hope that our joint work will continue and bring further success in the future.”
